The Mind Tells Time to F*** Off

February 13, 2015 by Jeff Stephens 4 Comments

mind vs timeYou probably know this battle oh so well…Mind vs Time.

Time is an evil bitch.

She will seduce you with seemingly unending availability, yet will taunt you, and flip you the middle finger, as she steps slowly out of your reach.

Meanwhile, the Mind loves to f*** with Time.

In a perverse dance of futility, the Mind basically tells Time that Time’s concerns really don’t matter. The Mind is arrogant and full of visions of grandeur. After all, it is the Mind. It knows everything and it believes it has way more to offer than Time could ever accommodate.

Time is a limiter according to the Mind and this frustrates the hell out of the Mind.

So, what does the Mind do? It sits back stubbornly and continues to crank out more things to do…more ideas, more projects, more tasks, more “next big things”. To hell with Time and its stupid constraints!

Even as the Mind stubbornly flows freely, generating an abundance of actionable ideas, inside it is boiling with anger.

Time’s simple interpretation of everything in absolute terms flies in the face of everything the Mind is about, and this pisses the Mind off.

The Mind is meant to drift. The Mind is meant to create. The Mind knows no boundaries and embraces the unknown and the possibility of innovation and exploration!

Time, on the other hand, shrugs its shoulders and smirks. Time doesn’t give two flying sh*ts and quite frankly doesn’t understand the Mind’s aloofness. So, Time simply reminds the Mind to file it somewhere and tell someone who actually cares.

Time is an evil bitch and the Mind is a glutton for punishment.
