CDL-021Now that you’ve published that awesome post on your blog and you’ve started to get the word out, how in the world will you use Twitter to help?

In this episode, I dig deeper into content sharing on one of the world’s biggest social media platforms out there…Twitter.

You’ll learn how Twitter is different than most other social platforms and what that means for your message. I provide 7 effective strategies to share content on Twitter that ultimately boosts your website visitors.

Finally, I give you 3 indirect methods to augment your content marketing effort by using other capabilities within Twitter.

In this week’s 5TIL (5 Things I Learned) I discuss:

  1. Google’s purchase of music streaming service Songza
  2. The power of social media during the World Cup
  3. Big data’s impact on recruiting
  4. A Keurig-like device that serves…beer!
  5. Vine’s unique new loop metric

Links in this episode include:

  • World Cup heat map and metrics
  • The beer Keurig Kickstarter campaign
  • Songza

As always, thanks for all of your support! If you have a moment, I’d love for you to provide a review of the show. Just head over to iTunes and leave your quick review of the podcast. Every little bit helps.

Have a wonderful week and I’ll catch you guys next week!

You’ve previously mentioned that you use Hootsuite to schedule your tweets. In this post you talked about embedding an image in your tweets. Recently noticed that the ow.ly shortners are supressing my images in scheduled tweets so the image doesn’t show, just the shortned version.

Have you run into that? If so, have you gotten around this issue so that your images can both be scheduled and show up in the tweet?
