Great podcast Jeff! I haven’t used Evernote much – but maybe I should. Two of my favorite tools are Pocket (bookmarking/clips for saving things to look at later) and Buffer. Love them both!

Thanks Crystal! You definitely need to check out Evernote. It seems you could do everything you are doing with Pocket and even more if you move to Evernote. Something to check out. I also use Buffer. I use the Feedly app which has Buffer integrated. That way I can aggregate all my favorite content and easily share with my followers via Buffer. Makes it easy, and I’m all for easy.

Any particular topics you’d be interested in for the podcast?

I love Feedly too! OK maybe you convinced me to look at Evernote again ;). I love the podcast! I’d be interested in hearing more about how you conceived your podcast and how you plan to build it. For example – I LOVE the idea of having a podcast of my own – but don’t really know exactly how I’d format the topics – etc. How did you go about planning yours?

Awesome. I’ll definitely talk about this in an upcoming episode. You rock Crystal!

Do you use Evernote for task management, or do you use something else?

Additionally, since it’s not possible to nest folders (at least as far as I can find) how do you organize your folders for Dad vs Office vs CrazyDadLife?

Listened to the episode three times, still finding new nuggets that I’ve missed. Great job, keep up the good work!

      Hi Jeff

I use Evernote for EVERYTHING. haha.

It is possible to nest folders with Evernote. They call it Notebook Stacks. Check out this video for some more info: https://blog.evernote.com/blog/2013/05/24/quick-tip-friday-how-to-organize-your-notebooks-in-evernote/

It’s pretty straightforward, you just have to drag and drop the folder onto another folder and there you have it. I do keep my personal (Dad) stuff away from the Crazy Dad Life work. I also have cross-cutting notebooks that apply to both. For instance, “Tools and Techniques”. These apply to my personal life and business.

Thanks for your ongoing support and congrats on #DecisionDay!

[…] I was listening to episode 7 and Jeff was extolling the virtues of Evernote. It’s a tool that I’ve had for years. […]
